Plus: Let's predict the 2024-25' NFL season together!

My 2024-25’ NFL Superlative Predictions

At the time of writing this we are currently only 35 days away from the Chiefs taking on the Ravens in Arrowhead on Thursday Sept. 5th. With over a month until the start of the season I wanted to get my NFL superlative predictions out there and see what you guys think!

I also want your guy’s help in predicting the outcome of the season with me!

At the end of this email there will be a survey asking you multiple questions about the outcome of this season. I’ll take the average answers from you guys and come up with my own answers and we’ll see who knows more ball by the end of the seasonšŸ˜‰

But First Let’s Recap this Week in Football

Hall of Fame Game

New kickoff Rules: The highly anticipated new kickoff rules debuted in Canton on Thursday and the results were a little underwhelming. The turf monster was taking souls left and right, the blocking was sub par, and there were multiple penalties called. There was definitely a lot to be desired on the kickoffs but watching them gave me optimism for the regular season. It’s going to be fun watching a return almost every kickoff instead of the ball just being booted out the back of the end zone. I’m highly optimistic for this change and I’m excited to see what it brings us.

Other than Brett Rypien tossing the rock for 166 yards and 3 tugs and an impressive performance from Colin Johnson who had 2 tugs, this was just another lame preseason football game that unfortunately (or fortunately) got cancelled due to ā€œinclementā€ weather.

⭐Best Offense: San Francisco 49’ers

Kyle Shanahan’s offense is like a sleek 1967 Shelby Cobra 427… A well oiled BEAST of a machine. The Niners easily have the most complete offense probably in the last 20 years. Kyle Shanahan’s creative play calling maximizes the strengths of his players and always has defenses on their toes. Brock Purdy may not be the best QB in the league but he is consistent and most importantly a leader. A leader of who you may ask? Only the best offensive core in the game. With the likes of Christian McCaffery, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Brandon Ayuik (for now), and an A+ offensive line i could see the 49’ers putting up 30 points per game.

⭐Best Defense: New York Jets

I never thought i would be saying the Jets had the best anything… but here I am saying it. The Jets will have the best defense in 2024. After losing Rodgers on the fourth play of the season last year we all for sure thought the Jets were cooked. Zach Wilson looked like hot sh*t and all hope was lost in Jersey. Until the Jets defense showed out single handedly propelling them to 7 wins. With new addition Hasson Reddick and their young studs in Sauce Gardner, Quinnen and Quincy Williams, and C.J. Mosley in the middle the Jets are primed to devour opposing offenses.

⭐Worst to First: Cincinnati Bengals

I think this is a pretty obvious prediction. But maybe not as obvious as we think. Joe Burrow was out the last 7 games last season with a wrist injury but Jake Browning did play just well enough to propel them to a winning record. The fact that they finished last in the division with a winning record goes to show how competitive the AFC North was last year and that’s not changing in 2024.( that’s the first time that has ever happened in the Superbowl era) However I think Joe Burrow is good enough to lead them to first in the division this season, despite me not even knowing who their running back is this year. (it’s Zack Moss, I had to look it up)

⭐Most Surprising Team: Los Angeles Chargers

The LA Chargers are probably the most underwhelming team in the NFL year after year. With a top 10 quarterback in Justin Herbert and a solid supporting cast they should easily at least have a winning record? Well, that’s not the case when you have really sh*tty coaching. But that all changes this year with Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh has a track record of taking struggling teams and turning them into thriving organizations, and I think he’s going to do just that with the Chargers. LAC is going to turn heads this year mark my words!

⭐Best Fantasy Player: CeeDee Lamb

Excluding Quarterbacks

I think Ceedee is about to have the best year of his career for multiple reasons. First of all they don’t have a run game. ā€œZeKe iS bAck tHo,ā€ says the Cowboys fans. My point still stands, the cowboys are going to have to rely on Dak’s arm and Ceedee’s hands this year to have a productive offense. Secondly is Dak NEEDS to prove himself this year to get that contract extension that he wants from Dallas. That means lots of throws=lots of yards and that is exactly what Lamb fantasy owners want to see. And that’s exactly what they’re gonna get!

⭐Best Rookie: Bears QB Caleb Williams

There's a lot of buzz coming out of the Bears camp about Caleb Williams. With comparisons to Patrick Mahomes and his evident leadership qualities, it feels like the Bears might have finally found their franchise quarterback. They're doing everything possible to support him, adding talent around him to ensure his success. (Justin Fields must love seeing that) it’s exciting to anticipate what Williams can bring to the Bears' offense. Expectations are high for him to shine in his rookie season, and fans in the Windy City are eager to see their new superstar on the field.

šŸ”„Hottest Take: Aaron Donald unretires if the Rams make the Playoffs

Aaron Donald is arguably the best defensive player to ever play the game. His dominance on the field and ability to single-handedly disrupt opposing offenses make him a game-changer. And that’s why I’ve come to the conclusion that he will come out of retirement to help the Rams in their playoff push. His return would instantly elevate the Rams’ defense, providing them with the leadership and skill needed for a deep postseason run. Donald's presence could be the X factor in turning the Rams into serious championship contenders once again.

And there you have it folks. This NFL season is going to be one hell of a ride and I’m excited to ride along with you guys!
